A Glimpse Into My Life....

I was born and raised in Chile, South America. My parents moved back to Joplin, MO my senior year of high school. I've lived in the Joplin area my entire adult life so Joplin is beginning to feel more like home, but it's really not home! I married my husband, Steve, in August of 1998. We haven't had any children, but we do have a cat named Chunk that we treat as if he were our child.

Our First Golden Anniversary

No, we are not celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary (yet), but we are celebrating 8 years of marriage on 8/8 this year so I'm calling it our First Golden Anniversary. Steve and I were married on 8/8/1998. I made it easy for him, didn't I? Some days it seems like we've been together forever and other days, I am surprised by things I am still learning about him. I feel so blessed to have him as a husband. Our love has grown stronger with each passing year and I can't imagine how wonderful our relationship will be when we celebrate our real Golden Anniversary! Happy First Golden Anniversary, Steve! I love you so much!

A golden birthday is one in which the day's date coincides with the age of the person. For example, if a person's birthday is on May 15, their golden birthday occurs when they turn 15.

I celebrated my golden birthday when I turned 24 on October 24th. So, this is my golden anniversary. I probably wouldn't make a big deal about it if we hadn't been married on 8/8/98.; 10:16 AM
